  • Lot #526 - 1799 B-5, BB-157 PCGS AU-55
  • Silver Dollar-Draped Bust
  • Bolender-5, BB-157 is not the most common variety for 1799 but it is readily available in all except the highest grades. Here in die-state IV, extensive peripheral cracking of the reverse die adds much interest to that side, and many collectors will be pleased to find zero adjustment marks on either side. A few tiny pinpricks atop Liberty's head blend in with the overall lavender-grey color.

  • Lot #159 - 1891 $1 Martha Washington Fr# 222 - PMG XF-45
  • Hammer: $1,800
  • US Currency-Silver Certificates, Large
  • The Brewhouse Collection. Fr# 222 is much scarcer than the other Friedberg number (223) for the "open back" Marthas. This one absolutely looks AU, and one must look persistently to find the other two faint creases that limit the grade. A beautiful note adorned with myriad security threads.
