  • Lot #208 - 18K Yellow Gold Cupid Pin
  • Jewelry-Pins
  • A modernist 18K yellow gold pin depicting Cupid about to fire an arrow with wings of colorful turquoise-blue opal (doublet), Cupid stands upon a baroque pearl. The tips of his wings as well as the bow and arrow are set with eight round brilliant diamonds that total an estimated .20 cttw, VS2 clarity, H color. Excellent condition with incredible detail to the face and no chips/cracks to the opal. Safety catch closure. Dimensions: 1.15” x 1.55”, 9.3 dwt.

  • Lot #863 - 1916-S PCGS MS-65RD
  • Small Cents-Lincoln, Wheat
  • A conditional challenge even to the advanced Lincoln cent collector, this issue is scarcely seen in the coveted "red" designation. Here, bright auburn gloss dominates eye appeal, while the granularity typical of early S mint Lincoln cents is abundantly visible.

  • Lot #756 - 1831 PCGS MS-65
  • Hammer: $5,250
  • Half Dollars-Capped Bust, Lettered Edge
  • Iam B. Kami Collection. 62 graded MS-65, 10 higher at PCGS. Overton-111, one of the most common die-marriages, and although Overton did not specifically call out die-states, the wavy crack underscoring the date makes it a cinch to attribute against all the other common varieties for the year. Delightful luster brightens up the appearance of this rose-gold, grey and Pacific-blue example, and the surface has managed to avoid nearly all signs of contact. A single nick on the throat and three tiny digs on the bust are all that need be accounted for in a complete description.

  • Lot #823 - 1921-S NGC XF-45 CAC
  • Hammer: $825
  • Nickels-Buffalo
  • A superior quality planchet shows none of the usual alloy problems that plague 1921-S and the strike off of better dies yielded bold details, including a fully delineated horn. The only complaint the cataloger could register would be a slightly excessive supply of sharp abrasions over the bison's back and beneath his belly -- but hey, this IS a 1921-S after all and one can overlook such anomalies in light of the very good production quality.
