First is 1946 50-cents, adequately struck and impressively toned with aqua-blue alongside the left edge of the silvery obverse against the concentrically toned reverse. Accompanying is 1946 dollar, nearly pristine silver-white and showing rather minimal abrading over the satin-bright surface. Two coin lot.

  • Coinage for Hawaii was produced at the hands of a treaty between the Island nation and the United States long before its passage into statehood. Of the four denominations produced, the quarter dollar is easiest to acquire in high grades, as is shown here. In this gem example, light toning gives way to mostly white surfaces.
