Lightly tanned surfaces give this uncut sheet of (12) 1928-G $2 Legal Tender notes a truly organic and original look. This particular series (EA Block) is rarely seen in uncut sheet form and is truly deserving of the Choice About UNC 58 grade given by PMG. Nice centering and a very minor tear are noted (ck).

Bowers lists this misplaced date but it is seldom referenced elsewhere, which is too bad given how prominent the digits are within the denticles. They are especially visible on such a nice, high-grade example of this Civil War survivor. Neither side would truly pass as UNC under close inspection, but the amount of wear is paper-thin and the coin overall exhibits attractive golden color with pinkish lowlights.
