  • Lot #593 - 1842 PCGS XF-45
  • Hammer: $800
  • Silver Dollar-Liberty Seated
  • Swap Deterred Collection. Utterly pleasing as smoothly consistent iron-grey patina fills the entire surface. Two moderate bagmarks above the eagle's beak are scarcely worth noting since the rest of the surface shows nothing more than a few, scattered innocuous nicks. A flawlessly choice, circulated example.

  • Lot #573 - 1927 PCGS MS-65+
  • Hammer: $2,400
  • Gold $20-Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle
  • Possibly taken off of slightly rusted dies, the fields display curiously appealing ultra-fine matte texture that only bolsters the amazing lustrous effect. The details are not quite as sharp as usual for 1927 as can be inferred by nominal merging at Liberty's toes and lower face, and one dark spot lands beside her knee.
