Mintage: 5000. Statistics suggest most entered commerce, at least briefly, although many Civil War 3-dollars tend to congregate around about-uncirculated grade levels. Also typical of such a low mintage coin are the heavily die-polished fields, now invaded by tiny circulation marks, and bold die clashing.

Breezy L Collection. The most common Friedberg number for red seal fives, the "a" variety is much scarcer than the "b" notes. Large margins surround both sides and the paper looks just as new as it should at AU58, the grade limited by a tiny yellowish corner fold at top right.
