Vintage Hershey patina guarantees the appeal of this key date cent, and sharpness has not succumbed much to circulation on either side as bold details persist. Admittedly, the obverse sees a number of tiny abrasions, including a fair number that pepper Lincoln's coat, while the reverse shows hardly any evidence of wear at all.

Clem Stevens Collection. 67 graded MS-67 FS, 2 graded MS-67 FS "star", 11 higher at NGC. The low mintage of 1950-D (3-million) was recognized quickly by collectors who purchased and set aside full rolls of high-grade examples. That said, very few reach the upper stratosphere at NGC with enough strike quality to garner a "full steps" designation. On top of that, this is a flat-out centerfold quality coin showing incredible luster and pastel hues of apricot-yellow, chartreuse-violet, and magenta-rose. At most, a handful of minuscule abrasions might be found on either side.
