  • Lot #814 - Collection of Washington quarters in five Dansco albums
  • Quarter Dollars-Washington
  • Witmor Farms Collection. Wall to wall Washington’s! A total of five Dansco albums fills this massive group lot with nothing but Washington quarters from 1932 through 2021 with not a single hole left unfilled. The first album ranges from 1932 through 1998 and includes the following highlights: a 1932 (AU+), a 1932-D (AU-58), a 1932-S (AU-58), a 1934 (BU), a 1934-D (MS-64), a 1935 (MS-64+), a 1935-D (AU), a 1935-S (MS-63), a 1936 (BU), a 1936-D (MS-63), a 1936-S (MS-63), a 1937 (BU), a 1937-D (MS-63), a 1937-S (MS-63), a 1938 (MS-63), a 1938-S (MS-63+), a 1939 (MS-64), a 1939-D (MS-64), a 1939-S (MS-64), a 1940-D (MS-62), and many more. The final four albums encompass all of the Washington quarter series from 1999 through 2021 and has every issue including P mints, D mints, and both clad and silver proof issues. This is a truly all encompassing collection of this long running type (ck).

  • Hammer: $12,250
  • Gold $10-Indian Head Eagle
  • 45 graded MS-66, 5 higher (all MS-67) at NGC. 1910-D seems to be the most common mint-state date for the marvelous Indian gold eagle series but very-gem examples are astoundingly rare for such a high mintage of 2.3-milllion. This is an almost incredible example, replete with superb satin texture that remains virtually undisturbed by contact from other coins. An extremely faint nuance of lavender toning emerges from the obverse central area but overall, the coin appears pure orange-gold, as if it just fell into a mint bag three minutes ago. Careful scrutiny utterly fails to reveal any of the tiny copper impurities or grease marks sometimes found for the date.
