Spectacularly attractive for a gem common date with no particular designations. At minimum, the obverse seems fully prooflike, and a fabulously attractive series of rainbow bands cover the lower half. The reverse, a little flashy itself, faces up as brilliant silver-bright.

Breezy L Collection. Mintage: 30,000. While not a key to the New Orleans emissions, 1857-O represents a somewhat more difficult date and one often found problematic. PCGS calls out minor scratches on both sides, which would almost certainly be forgivable if they did appear surprisingly fresh, or if, for example, one or two off right of the portrait had not been imparted. A little glossy overall but by no means an unacceptable representative for a collector.
