Subtle, darker honey-tan flecks suggest pre-existing toning that was subsequently erased by errant cleaning. A fascinating coin taken off of very aged dies, the "D" mintmark appears to be completely missing from a variety for which it can usually be seen in very low relief.

Circa 1970/1980 and signed by Phil Garcia, this sterling silver (tested) squash blossom necklace features turquoise cabs that look like they might be from the Blue Gem mine. The necklace has a five stone shadowbox Naja pendant as well as 14 blossoms with a hook/eye closure. Length 22”, 2.99 troy ounces.
