  • Lot #893 - 1853 NGC MS-65 BN
  • Hammer: $675
  • Large Cents-Braided Hair
  • Cochrane Gambit Consignment. Newcomb-3 and evidently die-state "b" including somewhat prevalent orange-peel flowline texture surrounding the portrait. Long use of the dies explains why N-3 is so common, although it is not the most prevalent 1853 die-marriage. Superior surfaces display no disturbances save a small, greyish circular patch beside the "U" of UNITED.

  • Lot #813 - 1883 With Cents and 1888, both PCGS PR-65
  • Hammer: $700
  • Nickels-Liberty Head
  • Bucky The Badger Consignment. Gem proof nickels comprise this pairing, both of them extremely well struck as such. Included are: 1883 with cents (light cameo effect and showing a tiny friction spot on the cheek), and 1888 (trifling haziness fails to suppress sparkling windmill energy). Two coin lot.
