Bold and beautiful. With a nearly nonexistent population of only two sheets reported, this very rare run of (12) 1934-D $5 Wide I (QA Block) silver certificates are certainly worth some serious attention. Bold blues clash against nearly Gem CU paper quality making this particular sheet a deserving recipient of the Choice UNC 64 grade it has been awarded by PMG. Lot #871 - 1909-S VDB Lincoln PCGS MS-64RB CAC

Growth Collection. There was a phase about ten years ago when MS-64 RB was considered "best" for the 1909-S VDB in terms of bang for the buck, and perhaps that holds true today. This example certainly seems on the verge of a red designation as either side gleams with 85% of the vintage brick-orange hue. Interestingly, this key cent was possibly struck off of a very slightly clipped planchet, since what appears to be a trio of tiny rim dings at first glance prove, upon closer inspection, to be almost certainly as-struck. An exceptionally detailed Lincoln cent with virtually no disturbances that would meaningfully preclude higher grade consideration.
