Dimes-Draped Bust
JR-6, R.3. A small break crosses over "7" in the date, next to a radial crack that projects upward along the left side of "9", and these are joined by additional cracks, especially radial cracks in the upper left obverse. Sharpness may slightly exceed VF-25 yet most likely, NGC settled on a five point demerit due to old, modest cleaning that now shows as trivial gloss across the surface. Fortunately, old toning and dirt remain within protected areas. A small, curiously machine-like abrasion shows to the right of the final star.

This coin features a pleasing blanket of greyish coppery patina outlined by traces of reddish orange. Smooth, honest wear only can be attributed to the overall soft yet somehow charming appearance.
