Lot #365 - 1911-D Strong D PCGS AU-58 (green label)
Gold $2.50-Indian Head Quarter Eagle
Strong mintmark, although the earlier slab was not from an era when that was denoted. Deep citrus-orange curiously endows the surface, yet glittering sheen still manages to show through the color. A small dark dot lands on the chin while notable on the reverse is a sliding abraded area within the upper field.

A thin but noticeable tear up the third fold gets called out on the holder, but this is otherwise a natural, vintage example with superior centering.
