  • Lot #24 - China - Cd1901 Dot Eyed Dragon L&M-244 $1 - NGC AU details/cleaned
  • World Coins-China
  • L&M-244, dotted eyes on dragon, Kiangnan. The NGC disclaimer may do little to dissuade strong bids for this highly desirable type. Really only sparing, moderate hairlines disturb the fields, and considerable luster still remains present. Perhaps a trivial hint of handling shows on portions of the rims.

  • Lot #587 - 1872 Blundered Date Breen-5491 NGC MS-62
  • Hammer: $2,300
  • Silver Dollar-Liberty Seated
  • Breen-5491, Osburn-Cushing-3, blundered date obverse. A tiny remnant of a blundered digit shows immediately above "2" in the date, quickly denoting what is a rather common yet highly popular variety within the series. This happens to be a handsome example as well at just MS-62, exhibiting gorgeous luster and apricot-grey patina. The reverse all by itself might well grade MS-64 but random, trivial abrasions on the obverse spill over just enough to limit the grade.

  • Hammer: $1,100
  • Jewelry-Pendants
  • I have to admit, this one won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but you will have to admit that it’s pretty darn cool! The center has a precious orangey marquise coral cabochon. There is a freeform, bezel set fossilized ammonite stone and the piece is completed with a elongated cabochon identified as rutilated quartz. None of the stones have indications of polymers or dyes, Stone Group Laboratories report #240827R-SJ. This piece has a pin on the back and also opens so it can be added to chain. Dimensions 4" x 1.5", 26.2 dwt.
