101st Airborne Collection. An all-different group of type coins spans several decades. An 1853 half-dime, AU with frosty luster over clashed dies and toned, leads off. Next are four dimes: 1857 (XF, some reverse luster), 1884 (AU but very dark), 1907-D (AU, small obverse dot), and 1876 (AU, obvious album toning). Five remaining coins are all quarters: 1857 (VF and bluish toning), 1857-O (VF+), 1877-CC (VF), 1891 (VF but a trifle dull), and 1904-O (Fine, superb original). Ten coin lot.

HK-449, silver, Manila mint, and sometimes referenced by PCGS as "medal". It is collected as a member of both the U.S. Philippines and the "so-called dollar" series. Struck also in gold and copper, the present silver example is that most often seen. While landing within the choice grade range, one can see this as a superior specimen since the fields appear unusually free from distraction and excellent luster reaches across both sides.
