Gold $2.50-Liberty Head Quarter Eagle
Cheddars de Voirs Collection. A trio of quarter-eagles present nicely for the collector focused on this very difficult series. The first two examples are green label holders and include: 1873 "open 3" (dusky reddish-gold and extremely well struck but showing a couple of more noticeable abrasions) and 1873 "closed 3" (greyish overtone to the overall golden hue and also showing a very good strike). Accompanying is 1873-S (modest wear and interesting ruby-gold patina throughout). Three coin lot.

A pair of shipwreck survivors have been conserved and then encapsulated by NGC. First is 1860-O showing UNC details and a nice O/O mintmark. Accompanying is 1861-O also showing an O/O mintmark but somewhat rougher texture on the reverse. Two coin lot.
