Misaligned dies are common to the 1852-D, this one struck practically in medallic alignment. Overall, this also appears to be a decently struck example, albeit the dies came together on the usual substandard planchet that seems to have plagued Dahlonega. Lemon-gold hue and clashing and die-cracks meet expectations for this issue.

There is approximately 2.00 cttw in the pair, SI clarity, I color. The tubular design on each piece has a larger round center diamond with inlaid smaller round diamonds forming a line on either side.
