  • Lot #300 - 1873 25C octagonal BG-727 MS-65, 1873 25C octagonal BG-728, and an 1873 25C round BG-872 MS-64, all PCGS
  • California Fractional Gold-California Fractional Gold
  • Cheddars de Voirs Collection. A remarkable trio of California fractional gold, specifically 25-cent pieces, comprises this PCGS grouping. Included are: BG-727 (astonishingly high grade and blatantly prooflike), BG-728 (drenched in curiously lackluster greenish hue and unusually well struck), and BG-872 (rather outstanding citrus-gold on the obverse and lemon-yellow on the reverse with semi-prooflike reflectivity). Three coin lot.

Included are: 1877-R 5-lire, KM#8.4 (lustrous pewter-grey that includes mossy golden hues at the periphery; one of the most counterfeited coins in the world by some accounts), and 1881-R 2 lire, KM#23 (rare in such high certified grade and significantly prooflike despite a blanket of smoke-blue and ebony-chartreuse toning). Two coin lot.

  • Lot #308 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom
  • Hammer: $320
  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this overly large sterling silver (tested, not marked) and chrysocolla squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and a 7-stone Naja at the bottom. With an overly bold design, the stone used in the making emulates a darker grade of turquoise than usually found in this type of necklace. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 26”, 8.40 troy ounces.
