Large Cents-Draped Bust
Sheldon-266, die-state IV, the 1804 date obviously a key and even more elusive due to how many collectors pursue S-266 by die-state. For this bold example, rim breaks show plainly over RTY and MERIC. Dies are rotated by about 20 degrees for a coin that makes the cataloger's grade of [XF/corrosion removed], and the surface has been rather nicely recolored with chestnut-brown patina that has olive inflections on the reverse.

This cute little pair includes an 18K yellow gold oversized fly pin with two cabochon turquoise stones and the smaller 14K yellow gold bee companion has dark blue sapphire accents. Our little fly measures just over 1” long and weighs 6.9 dwt while the bee is closer to .75” and weighs 1.5 dwt.
