Quarter Dollars-Standing Liberty
101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Lot #755 - 1842-O Small Date PCGS VF-30

Quarter Dollars-Liberty Seated
Briggs 1-A. 13 graded VF-30, 15 higher at PCGS. Listed in the Redbook, the "small date" is one of the most difficult of all Seated Liberty quarters, and struck early in the series such that virtually all are circulated. This nearly ebony, grey-toned example displays a faint hint of rose hue within the fields, contrasting with neutral grey on the devices. Remnants of grungy deposits occasion the reverse periphery.
