This stunning jewel features extensive platinum-grey mint frost from edge to edge, interrupted only by a tiny scrape on the neck and very few tiny abrasions elsewhere.

Bowers lists this misplaced date but it is seldom referenced elsewhere, which is too bad given how prominent the digits are within the denticles. They are especially visible on such a nice, high-grade example of this Civil War survivor. Neither side would truly pass as UNC under close inspection, but the amount of wear is paper-thin and the coin overall exhibits attractive golden color with pinkish lowlights.
