Delightful surface gloss brings out Hershey-brown coloration for this excellent, superbly original key Lincoln cent. Overall even patina and virtually unsullied quality serve to emphasize an utterly exceptional strike. A small mark left of the portrait and a very faint sliding abrasion at upper right are all that defy full gem consideration.

Ironically, this star note itself features a major error in that the front design has been thinly transferred to the back through an offset error. An outstanding and memorable example.

The ring is marked 90% on the inside and holds up to the 18K acid test. Ring size 6.5, 5.3 dwt.
