  • Lot #604 - 1880 Trade PCGS PR-65
  • Silver Dollar-Trade Dollars
  • Bravery Consignment. 61 graded PR-65, 39 higher at PCGS. Regally toned overall, shimmering orange-grey and chartreuse predominate over the obverse while the reverse sees gorgeous Pacific-blue, violet-grey and rose hues. Technically, the surface displays good mechanical contrast between velvety devices and strong mirrors, but the toning prevents a suitable designation. Extremely well struck, almost to perfection except for very slight softness at Liberty's head and a brief arc of softness atop the eagle's higher wing.

  • Lot #299 - 1852 "900" $50 U.S. Assay Office AU details in a Capital Plastics holder
  • Hammer: $30,000
  • Territorial Gold-Territorial Gold
  • Morals And Liberty Collection. Kagin-14 (R.5+). Cataloger's grade represents DETAILS ONLY: AU. The coin has never been removed from its current Capital Plastics holder and we respect the wishes of the consignor to leave it so. Through the plastic, this massive production appears to be generally free from edge nicks and corner dings that tend to plague the series. Further, a tremendous strike exceeds expectations as it reached peripheral lettering often missed by even high-grade mint-state examples. All four digits in the date stand out clearly, and the final "A" in CALIFORNIA is strong as are all the letters nearest the corners. The eight points are where the most metal flow must occur, hence details tend to be weakest there.

  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and a 6-stone Naja at the bottom. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 23”, 5.31 troy ounces.
