31 graded PR-67 CAM, 1 graded PR-67 CAM "star", 7 higher at NGC. Statistically, UCAM proof nickels minted after 1900 are highly elusive, and even this astonishing jewel shows UCAM contrast only the obverse, the reverse "merely" CAM. Exquisitely preserved and never mishandled, hairlines avoid the fields completely and the most careful examination finds no contact marks of any kind.

Leaning toward the brown side of the color designation, the surface does merge with stronger reddish orange toward the better protected peripheral areas. A cleanly struck and decently sharp key Lincoln cent, the surface shows very few disturbances for the grade, allowing for ready appreciation of subtle woodgrain toning.
