101st Airborne Collection. A series that can be enjoyably and successfully collected from the Byzantine period is the emission of bronze follis (40-nummi) coins under Maurice Tiberius (died 602 A.D.), second son of Emperor Maurice and wife Constantina, who ruled from 582 until his death. Retail grading and pricing are indicated on holders for this group, although realistically, average examples sell in the $35 - $50 range. Not confirmed, each member is indicated to be of a different year for this eleven coin lot.

That said, this is an exceptional example for MS-64+, utterly filled with tortoise-shell luster patterns and dominated by beautiful, fresh medium golden color.
