KM#377.4, Durango mint. While not particularly rare, the overmintmark and corrected assayer conspire to create a very popular entry into the 8-reales series, this also being an outstanding example. Highest grade previously seen by the cataloger was AU-55, although the population report shows about a handful of other AU-58 - MS-62 examples. This one appears fully original and sports very strong die clashes, as well as an identifiable silvery streak down left of center on the obverse.

Mastodon Collection. KM#270, Valletta mint, 0.216 oz. The rustic golden hue yields to purplish accents nearer the edges, perhaps characteristic of incomplete alloying of the flan. The cataloger could not find any of the adjustment marks often seen for the 10-scudi type.
