Rebel Yell Collection. Overton-106a, "comet" obverse. PCGS noted a scribble of hairlines at the right (observed) talon, properly leading to a disclaimer on the slab insert. Otherwise, the surface appears naturally grey in appearance, offering low-contrast coloration overall.

Misaligned dies are common to the 1852-D, this one struck practically in medallic alignment. Overall, this also appears to be a decently struck example, albeit the dies came together on the usual substandard planchet that seems to have plagued Dahlonega. Lemon-gold hue and clashing and die-cracks meet expectations for this issue.
