Aliyah Darnell Collection. Formerly considered rare, 1909-S can now be readily found even in MS-64 due to a Central American hoard dispersed a few decades ago. The obverse shows no evidence of commonly seen clash marks while a partial outline of Liberty's portrait inverted on the reverse proves the dies were clashed at some point prior to striking. Acceptable yet slightly heavy grey toning predominates, surrounded by olive- grey accents.
