  • Lot #801 - 1866 Motto, as described
  • Hammer: $675
  • Quarter Dollars-Liberty Seated
  • Inland Delude Collection. Mintage: 16,800. Cataloger's grade: [VG-10]. Ebony-grey shows in the obverse fields around medium grey devices, the mottled pattern slightly distracting, but there is no doubt that IBERT shows nicely on the shield. Tan coloration layers over the center of the eagle, surrounded by more typically bluish-grey.

  • Lot #869 - 1909-S VDB Lincoln NGC MS-62 RB
  • Hammer: $1,750
  • Small Cents-Lincoln, Wheat
  • Growth Collection. Struck to a typical level of sharpness for the date. All by itself, the obverse should grade at least MS-64 RB, or possibly fully red given ecstatic luster on that side and a near-total lack of potential distractions. On the reverse, an unusually blueberry-grey splash towards the left is to prominent to ignore and assuredly counts heavily toward constraining the grade, although otherwise, this side would be predominantly red as well.
