  • Lot #650 - 1880/79-CC Reverse of 1878 PCGS MS-63
  • Hammer: $900
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • VAM-4, Top-100 and a famous overdate variety. Seemingly a little nicer at first glance, the Arctic-frost surface reveals two thin, lengthy cheek abrasions upon closer inspection. Curls over the ear were technically well delineated but received a small bagmark during storage.

  • Lot #495 - 1857-O PCGS AU details/scratch
  • Hammer: $6,250
  • Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
  • Breezy L Collection. Mintage: 30,000. While not a key to the New Orleans emissions, 1857-O represents a somewhat more difficult date and one often found problematic. PCGS calls out minor scratches on both sides, which would almost certainly be forgivable if they did appear surprisingly fresh, or if, for example, one or two off right of the portrait had not been imparted. A little glossy overall but by no means an unacceptable representative for a collector.
