When is a mule a bison? As you ponder that question, take notice of backplate 322 for this bone-grey note that appears a little undergraded at first glance. The graders may have netted a few points off due to a brief tear that enters the design at far left (not mentioned) as well as "minor glue" mentioned on the holder.

Lot #755 - 1842-O Small Date PCGS VF-30

Quarter Dollars-Liberty Seated
Briggs 1-A. 13 graded VF-30, 15 higher at PCGS. Listed in the Redbook, the "small date" is one of the most difficult of all Seated Liberty quarters, and struck early in the series such that virtually all are circulated. This nearly ebony, grey-toned example displays a faint hint of rose hue within the fields, contrasting with neutral grey on the devices. Remnants of grungy deposits occasion the reverse periphery.

Here we have two chic David Yurman rings. One is a sterling silver hematite Albion ring and the other is a sterling silver amethyst Chatelaine ring. Ring size 6.75 and 5. Together they weigh .48 troy ounces.
