Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
A stately example from the end of the Civil War, the surface glows with soft radiance impaired by only a whisper of abrading within all fields. Brighter golden-yellow surfaces manage to evade major contact marks -- not all that common for large gold coins of this vintage. Sharply struck off of dies showing a light clash on Liberty's central portrait.

Front margins are rather balanced while the back modestly favors a broader top margin. Paper quality would look right at home on an AU example although of course, the usual light folds plop the note right into the extremely-fine range. Hands-down outstanding.

The main focal point of the bangle is an approximate .50 ct. round cut diamond, I1 clarity, I-J color and four approximate .03 ct. bezel set accent diamonds. Dimensions 2.75” x 2.5”, 10.4 dwt.
