101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Silver Dollar-Morgan
28 graded MS-65+, 53 higher at PCGS. While the reverse is only lightly toned with silvery-character overall, surrounded by a nice ring of amber gold, the obverse offers even more attractive peach coloration that dazzles the eye because of ravishing mint luster. San Francisco was back in the habit of striking high-quality dollars by 1887, as is quickly discernible by every last detail erupting within Liberty's tresses as well as within the eagle's feathers. No major marks at all affect the surface.
