  • Lot #626 - Carson City Morgan dollar set in a Capital Plastics holder
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • A total of only thirteen Morgan silver dollars were struck and issued by the ever-popular Carson City branch mint in Nevada. Here lies a complete Carson City Morgan dollar year set that is tastefully housed in a Capital plastics display board. The tags for the coins that were removed from PCGS holders are also provided (ck).

  • Lot #686 - 1898 PCGS MS-65DMPL
  • Hammer: $1,175
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • 74 graded MS-65 DMPL, 27 higher at PCGS. Even earlier strikes than what is seen here for 1898 have earned "UDM" at ANACS in years past but there is no question about the raving eye-appeal of this utterly prooflike example. The contrast may not be as strong as some but the portraits float over ice-water mirrors on either side. The reverse seems a trifle better detailed than the obverse, both sides being nicely struck overall.
