What’s today’s date? Each year of issue of the widely collected Morgan silver dollar series is represented within this Dansco album “Date Set” collection along with four additional examples to represent each mint that produced this sought after series. Nearly every issue is an uncirculated specimen that offers various style of mild peripheral tones. Included in this eye catching run are the following examples: an 1878 7TF Rev of ’78 (MS-62), an 1886 (MS-64 PL), an 1891 (MS-63), an 1892-O (MS-63+), an 1893 (AU), an 1894-S (AU-58), an 1895-O (AU+), an 1897-S (BU), a 1903 (MS-64), and a 1904-O (MS-62 PL). Additionally, there are two more notable examples in the “Mint Marks” category that includes an 1884-CC (MS-62) and an 1882-S (MS-64++). A total of thirty-two issues fills this jaw dropping run (ck).

Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
Large date, large letters. 1842-D wrangles with 1861-D as a contender for the rarest Dahlonega half-eagle, and a high-grade survivor of any description will be in demand by astute collectors. ANACS claims this AU sharpness example to be cleaned, and indeed, glossy lemon-yellow shows across both sides, accompanied by obvious hairlines in the obverse lower right field. Perhaps as important as anything, the surface actually displays a lot fewer abrasions than typical for a southern mint gold coin.
