  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Absolutely contact-free, smooth and fully struck, Liberty's cheek ticks off the top of the want list for a Morgan dollar nearing perfection in terms of grade. Astoundingly, so common is the 1879-S that even at this lofty grade level, the population report is not worth denoting, but for an "ultimate" kind of type collector, the outrageous late-die frosted luster and ridiculously sharp strike both satisfy the most demanding collector.
