Cheddars de Voirs Collection. A remarkable trio of California fractional gold, specifically 25-cent pieces, comprises this PCGS grouping. Included are: BG-727 (astonishingly high grade and blatantly prooflike), BG-728 (drenched in curiously lackluster greenish hue and unusually well struck), and BG-872 (rather outstanding citrus-gold on the obverse and lemon-yellow on the reverse with semi-prooflike reflectivity). Robert Michaels Collection. It goes without saying that the Flying Eagle cent is an extremely popular type for which all nicer examples are highly sought. Here is a naturally colored honey-tan and coppery 1857 featuring an exceptional obverse strike against very good detailing of the reverse, plus an adequate supply of cartwheel effect. Faintly glancing bagmarks number slightly above average but there exists not even a single major abrasion of consequence.

A lovely Victorian sunburst pin crafted in 14K yellow gold with seed pearls adorning the rays that are natural and all appear to be original to the setting. There is an approximate .40 ct. round diamond in the center, I1 clarity, I color and a safety catch at the back to hold the pinstem in place. Dimensions 1.5” x 1.5”, 5 dwt.
