Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
7 graded MS-64, which ties for highest graded at NGC. PCGS suggests five coins grade higher in their population report. Technically, 1879-S is not a scarce date but obviously, the set collector will be hard-pressed to locate a stronger candidate for a registry. Overall light hairlining limits the grade.

While softer central details are typical for 1895-O, this example may have been struck a touch better than average, allowing for five points of additional wear on the eagle's breast and the curls over Liberty's ear. Circa 1960/1970, this overly large sterling silver (tested, not marked) and chrysocolla squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and a 7-stone Naja at the bottom. With an overly bold design, the stone used in the making emulates a darker grade of turquoise than usually found in this type of necklace. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 26”, 8.40 troy ounces.
