There are nine examples of this short-lived series in this group lot that includes the following: an 1876 (AU details, cleaned), 4x 1877 (XF), 3x 1877-S (XF details, cleaned), and an 1878-S (F). Morals And Liberty Collection. KM#54, Santiago mint. A tremendous example even at MS-62, luster and color carry this coin all day in terms of visual appeal. Unusual for the era, the planchet does not seem to retain much evidence of adjustment marks after striking, which is only of further benefit to most collectors. Absolutely outstanding and oh-so-close to the choice grade level.
