Large Cents-Draped Bust
Sheldon-266, die-state IV, the 1804 date obviously a key and even more elusive due to how many collectors pursue S-266 by die-state. For this bold example, rim breaks show plainly over RTY and MERIC. Dies are rotated by about 20 degrees for a coin that makes the cataloger's grade of [XF/corrosion removed], and the surface has been rather nicely recolored with chestnut-brown patina that has olive inflections on the reverse.

Small Cents-Flying Eagle
Clem Stevens Collection. Infused with outstanding penny-copper hue, one could not imagine a more ideal color for a flying eagle cent. The dies, polished not long before striking, could not bring out every possible detail but there are no overly weak areas. One moderate nick above the eagle is the only abrasion worth mentioning.
