  • Quarter Dollars-Standing Liberty
  • 101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Five coin lot

  • Lot #758 - 1879 NGC MS-66+
  • Hammer: $2,800
  • Quarter Dollars-Liberty Seated
  • 3 graded MS-66+, 28 higher at NGC. First in Philadelphia's run of low-mintage quarters, absolutely devastating eye-appeal characterizes this example which at once gets cameo contrast, yet somehow evades prooflike fields. A profound strike and immaculate surfaces display simply nothing at all that could be termed a distraction. Dazzling and almost incredible in appearance, this platinum-blonde beauty.

  • Lot #307 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom
  • Hammer: $425
  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
