  •
  • Lot #414 - 1879-S NGC MS-64
  • Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
  • 7 graded MS-64, which ties for highest graded at NGC. PCGS suggests five coins grade higher in their population report. Technically, 1879-S is not a scarce date but obviously, the set collector will be hard-pressed to locate a stronger candidate for a registry. Overall light hairlining limits the grade.

  • Lot #784 - 1903-S PCGS MS-64
  • Hammer: $1,650
  • Dimes-Barber
  • 19 graded MS-64, 23 higher at PCGS. Splashy indigo, cinnamon-grey and ebony-sage create a vintage appearance with the reverse particularly endowed in richer hues. A better dime with claims to the gem grade level.
