Early United States mint sets are among the most difficult items to find in their original condition and packaging. There are five such issues here that includes a 1949, a 1951, a 1952, a 1954, and a 1957. Each of these are still in their original cardboard sleeves and envelopes as well. Wispy and dusty tones cling to all of the surfaces of each issue within each set lending even further evidence to these particular set’s originality. Details fall right into the sharpness range of 53/55 and include a noticeably bold central strike yielding two full, completely separated bands. A couple of irrelevant hairlines in the reverse right field seem to be the only surface anomalies worth mentioning.
