The appearance is virtually every bit of Choice BU, including outstanding, full luster that runs uninterrupted through the fields, as well as razor-sharp details. Misaligned dies are common to the 1852-D, this one struck practically in medallic alignment. Overall, this also appears to be a decently struck example, albeit the dies came together on the usual substandard planchet that seems to have plagued Dahlonega. Lemon-gold hue and clashing and die-cracks meet expectations for this issue.
