Quarter Dollars-Standing Liberty
101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Large Cents-Flowing Hair
Robert Michaels Collection. Sheldon-11(b or c) (R.3), "vine-and-bars" being "a" of course. The cataloger could not discern "a" versus "b" due to being unable to examine the edge. An attractive leather-brown example with mahogany accents on the raised devices, the extreme edges on either side also display additional coppery exposure. Minor to modest surface granularity is textured to such a fine matte level that it scarcely distracts from the bold presentation. An outstanding example for major type or date entry purposes.
