Half Dimes-Capped Bust
Logan-McCloskey-6 usually has two characteristics that make it a cinch to attribute this common die-marriage: a chip in the upper loop of "3" (sometimes called a repunched digit although that seems unlikely) and a filled lower loop for the second "S" of STATES. Here is a frosty and lustrous violet-pewter example that received several small nicks below the eagle's beak to determine the grade. Both sides are nicely impressed by a very good strike.
