The Trade silver dollar is among the shortest-lived series of coins to ever be issued by the United States Mint and that creates a supply shortage that is easily noticed by any collector of the type. There are nine examples of this short-lived series in this group lot that includes the following: an 1876 (AU details, cleaned), 4x 1877 (XF), 3x 1877-S (XF details, cleaned), and an 1878-S (F). Collector grade examples of this scarcely seen type are a perfect entry point for any collector on a working man’s budget (ck).

Lot #253 - Twelve Uncirculated type coins, all NGC (no line)

Where do we draw the line? This is a very attractive group lot of twelve NGC "no line" holder coins that includes the following eight MS-67 war-time Jefferson nickels: a 1942-S, a 1943-P, a 1943-S, a1944-P, a 1944-D, a 1944-S, a 1945-P, and a 1945-D. The final four pieces of this numismatic puzzle includes an 1882 MS-63 Morgan dollar, 1n 1897 MS-64 Morgan dollar, an 1945-D Walking Liberty half-dollar, and a 1937-S Buffalo nickel. While each of these appear to be very conservatively graded, the toning of the 1882 Morgan stands out from the crowd (ck).
