  • Lot #380 - 1926 and 1927, both PCGS MS-62
  • Hammer: $950
  • Gold $2.50-Indian Head Quarter Eagle
  • While each is struck to pretty much the same level of intensity, these have distinct appearance differences. A pleasing layer of powdery, matte texture completely envelopes 1926, while 1927 gleams with unfettered energy. Two coin lot.

  • Lot #714 - 1806 Pointed 6, Stem PCGS AU-53
  • Hammer: $1,700
  • Half Dollars-Draped Bust
  • Mastodon Collection. Overton-119a, R.3. The die state appears to fall just shy of the latest seen, with wavy clashmarks that connect the tops of the digits in the date, not to mention evidence of at least two very strong clash patterns on the obverse. There is no die crack on the reverse through "U" of UNUM. Although both sides are flatly struck, that is characteristic of the die-marriage yet both sides boast strong luster. A couple of small digs at the end of UNITED are notable.
